Teacher Training Programs

Glenmore’s 200 and 300 hour level yoga training programs 

Due to the spike in the virus, we have decided to delay the start of our teacher training programs.  We hope to reschedule module dates to the beginning of 2022.  The essence of our training program is an in person experience and would like to maintain that in lieu of converting to an online program.

Glenmore Yoga In Person and Online Yoga

Glenmore is offering daily in person and online classes some hybrid classes where both an in person and online option are available for a given class.  Our schedule will evolve week to week depending on the demand.

It is required to register in advance for both in person and online classes.

Directions to join online yoga classes:
  • Your class packages may be used for live, online classes. If you need to purchase a package or a drop in class, you may do so with the MindBody app or by going to our schedule menu on this website (Book a Class Here link above will take you to this menu). See our step by step process below. Our classes will be taught through the Zoom Cloud Meeting platform.
  • Pre Register for a class with MindBody Online by downloading the app to your phone, going to the schedule menu at glenmoreyoga.com or email info@glenmoreyoga.com
  • Make sure Glenmore has the email address you use to set up your MindBody account. By doing so, you should be able to access your existing payment package to use for the class you intend to take.
  • Register through MindBody for your class at least 30 minutes prior to class time. You will receive a confirmation email from Glenmore with a link to Zoom 30 minutes before class starts. Zoom is the platform where Glenmore will stream our classes.
  • You will need several minutes to connect to Zoom and follow the prompts. Please allow yourself this extra time. Zoom works with your smart phone, tablet, laptop and desktop.
  • If you plan to use your phone or tablet, find the Zoom Cloud Meetings app in your app store and download. With a laptop or desktop, just click on the link Glenmore sends you to connect to your class. Computer users will be prompted to download the Zoom application.
  • Please arrive to the Zoom waiting room 5 – 10 minutes before class begins. Your instructor will admit you, confirm attendance and begin the class.
  • Please know that you will see and hear the teacher, and you’ll have the option to been seen and heard once you’ve logged into the class. You will be able to mute and disable video of yourself if you choose. A text box can be used for you to type a hello message or questions or concerns. You can choose the option for your message to be sent to only the teacher or to the class.
  • If you are new to Glenmore, please fill out our Student intake form and email it to the center at info@glenmoreyoga.com prior to taking an online class.
  • Three registered students will be necessary for the class to take place.
  • If you do not see the link 30 minutes prior to the start of class; look in your spam or junk folder, refresh the window tab in which you are viewing your email, email info@glenmoreyoga.com 15 minutes before session to say you haven’t received the link to have it resent to you.
  • Payment may be made in person, through MindBody or mailed to 10442 Ridgefield Parkway, Richmond, Va. 23233. Cash, checks, debit and VISA, Mastercard, Discover & American Express are accepted.  Payments may also be made through your online banking or Zelle using info@glenmoreyoga.com.  Our legal name Glenmore Touch, Inc will appear as the recipient.
Prep for Your Home Yoga Practice
Clear your space of all hazards and distractions, including plants,
furniture with sharp edges, and four legged family members.
Ideas for Props:
-Couch cushions and throw pillows
-Blankets or beach towels can be folded, rolled and stacked
-Books or boxes filled with newspaper can stand in for blocks
-Bathrobe belts or old neckties can serve as yoga straps
Tips
-Play your music of choice if you like to practice with it
-If using 2 devices, make sure to mute one so there isn’t feedback
-Plug in devise when taking a class. Zoom sessions use a lot of battery life

Fall 12 Week Meditation & Book Study

Join Randi Weiss, ERYT 500hr Yoga & Meditation Instructor for a 12 week online book discussion and meditation series. Each week will include a guided meditation followed by a group discussion inspired by the teachings from Jack Kornfield’s “The Wise Heart”. The group will meet via Zoom on Mondays 12-1 pm, Sept 20 – December 6th. No prior meditation experience necessary. $144.

Chakra Workshop & Yoga For the Pelvic Floor Series

Join Mary Lou Bean E-RYT200, 500RYT, YACEP for this in person workshop.  Fall is upon us and seasonal changes offer an opportunity to reconnect, reset and refresh in a gentle practice based on the energy centers. Practice will move through the properties of the seven main Chakras, energy centers, with an emphasis on finding balance. This workshop is available to all levels, as well as CE credits for instructors.  This in person class size limited to 12 participants.  $30

Yoga For the Pelvic Floor Online Series

Tuesdays 2:00 – 3:15 pm, October 5 – November 9

Yoga for the Pelvic Floor is a six-week online series taught by Sandy Axelson, RYT 500, focusing on yoga poses and sequences aimed at identifying, relaxing and strengthening the muscles of the pelvic floor. The pelvic floor is the base of the group of muscles referred to as your ‘core’. The series will build upon itself during the 6 weeks which is open to anyone who wants to learn more about the pelvic floor muscles and the muscles that support the pelvic floor. During the weekly series, participants will participate in a sustainable yoga practice that is gentle, yet powerful in working with the pelvic floor muscles to locate, increase awareness, relax, and strengthen the pelvic floor. Classes will close with a guided relaxation.

This series offers a safe, informative, beneficial yoga program for the pelvic floor presented live via zoom.  $110 includes 6-week series and Roll for Control ball mailed to participants.
