Winter Schedule Workshops & Updates

*New Restorative Yoga Class on Monday evenings from 6:00 – 7:30 pm starting January 6 with Mary Leffler and JoRoyce Robinson.  Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching.  During the long holds your muscles are allowed to relax deeply.  Props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body.  This class is very mellow and a great compliment to more active practices and an excellent antidote to stress.  Stillness is a powerful practice.  Release*Restore*Renew

*James River Art League Exhibit from January 8 through March 4.  Beautiful serene artwork by these local artists are on display and available for purchase.

*Mindfulness and Meditation Book Study with Randi Weiss Thursdays, January 16 – February 20 from 8:00 -8:50 am.  This 6 week mindfulness series is open to all students who are on a path of exploration and self discovery, through a weekly guided meditation and group discussion inspired by a book study of Mindfulness in Plain English by Bhante Gunaratana.  Register by January 8th and purchase book in advance of first class.  $72 for 6 week series.
