Clarissa Riely, RYT 200, has moderate/severe COPD due to Alpha One which was diagnosed in 2011. She has found through her practice that yoga has greatly enhanced her ability to do daily activities, made her more aware of the importance of proper breathing techniques and uses yoga postures and breathe work to help achieve her goals. Clarissa developed this class from information gleaned from her research into yoga and breathing in journals as well as her practice informed by such information and class work in therapeutically informed yoga.
I’ll be 80 years old this year and never thought yoga would help so much. My posture and breathing are much better. Who would have thought a yoga pose could make this happen. I have COPD, Stage IV lung cancer and on oxygen 24/7. I feel anyone can benefit from yoga.
